<trans-abstract xml:lang="en"><p>The aim of the research is to substantiate the key role of linguocultural mediation in modern translation practice. Methods of comparative analysis of translations, analysis of concrete examples of interlingual communication and critical review of modern theoretical approaches were applied. The research material was practical examples of artistic, commercial, technical and diplomatic texts from the last decade. The author's personal contribution consists in the systematization of linguistic-cultural adaptation strategies and the identification of regularities of their application in different types of discourse. Special attention is paid to the development of the classification of culturally conditioned transformations in translation. The main conclusion of the research is that linguocultural mediation is not an additional but an obligatory component of the translation process. The analysis has shown that effective interlingual communication requires a complex consideration of: language systems, cultural norms, communicative goals and ethical principles of cultural inter-action. The most successful translation solutions are achieved through a conscious combination of adaptation, explanation and cultural substitution strategies. A promising area of research is the development of algorithms for automated quality assessment of linguocultural mediation, which can optimize mass localization processes, but will not replace professional translator-mediators. In parallel, the goal remains to improve methods for training professionals who combine linguistic competence with a deep understanding of intercultural differences.</p></trans-abstract><kwd-group xml:lang="ru"><kwd>лингвокультурологическая медиация</kwd><kwd>межкультурная коммуника- ция</kwd><kwd>языковое посредничество</kwd><kwd>коммуникативная цель</kwd><kwd>перевод</kwd></kwd-group><kwd-group xml:lang="en"><kwd>linguocultural mediation</kwd><kwd>intercultural communication</kwd><kwd>language mediation</kwd><kwd>communicative purpose</kwd><kwd>translation</kwd></kwd-group></article-meta></front><back><ref-list><title>References</title><ref id="cit1"><label>1</label><citation-alternatives><mixed-citation xml:lang="ru">Bassnett S.
