<trans-abstract xml:lang="en"><p>The research work is devoted to the analysis of the articles on Artificial Intelligence (AI). The aim of work is the identification of AI representations in British online edition of the Guardian in 2024. 478 articles were selected by the method of continuous sampling. This topic is extremely popular and affects different aspects of live. Great Britain is one of the world leaders in the field of AI and pays much attention to the development and integration of projects based on AI. The research showed that all the articles may be conditionally classified into the following categories: social sphere, industry, technology, business, government, economy, law, science, art and culture. A publicistic text realizes the function of influence, of providing information and propaganda, shapes public opinion. It is fully referred to questions connected with engineering, development and implementation of AI in various sectors of economy. Assessment of applications based on AI is very controversial. The perspectives of use of innovative technologies that, at first glance, may seem positive, have negative effect. The study of newspaper articles allows to get an objective view of possibilities and roles of AI in a modern British society and in the whole world.</p></trans-abstract><kwd-group xml:lang="ru"><kwd>искусственный интеллект (ИИ)</kwd><kwd>технологии</kwd><kwd>социальная сфера</kwd><kwd>публицистический текст</kwd><kwd>общественное мнение</kwd></kwd-group><kwd-group xml:lang="en"><kwd>Artificial Intelligence (AI)</kwd><kwd>technologies</kwd><kwd>social sphere</kwd><kwd>publicistic text</kwd><kwd>public opinion</kwd></kwd-group></article-meta></front><back><ref-list><title>References</title><ref id="cit1"><label>1</label><citation-alternatives><mixed-citation xml:lang="ru">Бабыкина Е.Н.
