Abstract
The article examines the organization of educational translation practice for translation students in the form of a networked simulated translation bureau as an innovative model of educational practice aimed at developing basic professional skills, abilities, and competencies in the field of translation. Educational translation practice is shown as an important structural element in the training of translation students, both at the level of basic higher education and bachelor's degree programs, and at the level of specialized higher education within master's degree programs. Special attention is paid to the formation of universal, general professional, and professional competencies. In order to optimize the network interaction among all participants, a digital platform with a set of convenient project and document management tools is used, enabling fast and convenient collaboration and increased productivity of work processes. This type of practice is shown in the context of project-based learning and a specific case study, currently being implemented at the Immanuel Kant Baltic Federal University, is presented: the creation of a bilingual digital annotated catalog of the Wallenrodt Library's collection of books on philosophy, history, political science, rhetoric, theology and ethics, medicine, astronomy, and mathematics. The positive and negative aspects of implementing this translation and linguistic task by students are analyzed, and ways to improve the effectiveness of organizing educational translation practice for linguistic students are proposed.
